Three Ears Letter Of The Week

February 1 · Issue #45 · View online
Every week, I'll write you a letter. A letter about anything, really. My goal is just to make you think. Then, I handpick 3 ideas and posts you'll love (and learn from).

That truth? Hiring is hard.
I read a tweet this week that talked about “falling in love with the problem” when you create a company. I really like that idea. You don’t fall in love with features or your offers, you have to fall in love with the problem first.
In hiring, the problems are endless. That’s what makes hiring so hard: there are a million variables, and we control so few of them. Somehow, that doesn’t deter us or make us love solving the problem less.
In fact, the great people in this industry use these problems as an incentive to learn more, test new tools and evolve their assumptions. Evolution is the keyword and the difference between just good and great.
This week, Three Ears Media took a big step forward in our evolution by teaming up with Dawn Burke. You can read more about that below. To stick with the theme, I’m also sharing 2 other articles about the ever-evolving nature of recruiting that I hope you’ll check out from my friends at Fistful of Talent and Smashfly.
Have a great week -
Katrina
